Department of Human Services (DHS) employees who work for the Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy (MNCWTA) are now utilizing University of Minnesota email accounts (ending with @umn.edu) for all email communication.

The Training Academy is a collaboration between the Child Safety and Permanency Division at the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare (CASCW) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. With staff employed by both organizations, it was necessary to select a primary application for communication, calendaring, document sharing, etc. It was determined that the University of Minnesota email system was the best option to provide flexibility and access for all Academy staff.

While staff will continue to monitor their DHS email accounts for DHS specific matters, the official method of communicating with Training Academy staff will be through their University of Minnesota (U of M) accounts. If you communicate with any Training Academy staff or community trainers, consider adding their U of M email addresses to your contacts (linked in this sentence).
