Listening sessions for supervisors
County and tribal agency supervisors are encouraged to attend upcoming regional Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) listening sessions in early 2022. If you supervise staff working in child welfare, child protection, children’s mental health, developmental disabilities, and/or waivered services such as community access for disability inclusion (CADI) please join us.
Department staff will share how FFPSA is an opportunity to transform practices that support preserving a child’s connection to family, culture and community.
The goal of these sessions is for department staff to listen and learn/understand agency experiences in the first few months of FFPSA. We want to hear from you how it’s going by offering the following discussion questions:
- In your role as supervisor how has FFPSA benefited your agency’s child welfare services and decision making?
- What has been the most challenging to implement?
- How are you addressing the challenges?
- Is there anything standing in your way to address a challenge?
- What do you need from us?
- Where do we go from here?
Meetings are online over zoom. It is requested that supervisors register by their region, allowing for regional differences and understanding. A Minnesota map of regions is here. To register, select the appropriate date below.
