Training Academy email header
,

We hope you were able to set up your Training Portal account last week without any issues (here is a link to the email we sent). If you still have questions, please let us know. We are now ready for you to move forward with inviting your workers to create their accounts.

  1. From your Training Portal, go to “Quick Navigations,” and select “Invite Employees.” The Training Portal Log In page is always accessible in the top right navigation of our website: www.mnchildwelfaretraining.com.
  2. Invite your employee(s) using their work email addresses (only invite employees you supervise who work in child welfare and/or child protection).
  3. On the “Invite Employees” page, you will see all employees you have sent invitations to, and whether or not they have accepted the invite. Invitations will expire within 2 weeks if they have not been accepted (you may need to remind your staff).

This short video is also available to walk you through the steps listed above.

Supervisors with New Workers:
If you have new employees who need to participate in Child Welfare Foundations training, you will be able to assign that training after they have finished creating their Training Portal accounts. Once that has happened, go to your Training Portal, go to “Quick Navigations,” select “Assign Trainings,” and assign them to an upcoming cohort using their new work email address. The next Foundations trainings will be Cohort 91 (begins February 8), and Cohort 92 (begins March 15). If you have questions, contact us at portal@mnchildwelfaretraining.com.

Share with your employees:
  • Do not use Internet Explorer; all other browsers should be compatible.
  • If they have questions about the new Training Portal, please let them know that this new system will be used by all Minnesota county and tribal workers for child welfare training that was previously scheduled through TrainLink. They can read more about the new Training Portal here.
  • If they already have a University of Minnesota (UMN) email account (former students or employees), they should select "Existing User" and enter their UMN account information.
  • If they need to update their UMN email or have forgotten their UMN password, have them contact the UMN Help Desk at help@umn.edu or 612-301-4357.

Going forward, you should continue to add new employees by inviting them to the Training Portal using the instructions provided above.

If you have any questions or issues, please contact us at portal@mnchildwelfaretraining.com.

Sincerely,

Minnesota Child Welfare Training Academy (MNCWTA)
