Minnesota Department of Human Services staff thank you for continuing to report performance issues with the Social Service Information System (SSIS) and impacts those issues have on the ability to complete agency work.
SSIS Help Desk staff are closely tracking reports from county/Tribal users, and continuing to work closely with MNIT partners on resolving issues resulting in unacceptable slowness. While reports have decreased, we understand that the issues are continuing and are greatly impacting users.
Please continue to report issues you are experiencing with SSIS and include specific details. Thank you to all the agencies that have and continue to report.
Efforts to identify and resolve issues specific to SSIS applications, and MAARC for county and Tribal agencies within the past week:
- SSIS Help Desk continues to monitor reports related to slowness and performance.
- Monitoring of the Horizon Servers at various times of the day for issues and reports to the appropriate teams if necessary. No out of the ordinary issues found.
- Piloting of new Horizon server farm:
- Scott County technical staff are increasing their current user group to 150+ on the new farm; performance and user experience has greatly improved. Printing issues are being worked through.
- Washington County technical staff are increasing their user group to 50+.
- Approximately 20 internal DHS staff have moved to the new Horizon farm with additional units to follow.
- The MNIT Enterprise Network team has engaged Microsoft premier support for assistance:
- No new finding from the MNIT Enterprise team related to performance.
- Question posed to Microsoft as to a process that runs at various times every day throughout the entire 24 hour day (not just during business hours). The process is trying to be identified. Our Microsoft partner could not offer any suggestions to help identify this process. It was identified that it is not the SSIS application.
